Shay’s Timeline, Part 3, Conclusion: Returning

Veron attacked with such force, he eventually broke through the man’s blocks and sliced open his right arm. “Oooh, more blood for me,” Veron exclaimed, seeing the man’s face contort with disgust and fear which led the stalker to flee as quickly as he could. As the stalker left, he could hear Veron yelling back at him, taunting him to come back to play more.

The priest went to help Veron, lifting and carrying Vlad inside while the two hunters slowly and carefully made their way up the steps into the chapel behind them. Upon entering it was dark and musky, frail candles lit throughout the place flickering hesitantly to dispel the shadows that hung everywhere else.

“We need to leave, they’ve called the pack in on us,” Vlad barely could speak above a whisper barely audible. Veron could hear more snarling and howling in the distance to affirm his father’s fears.
